Amy grew up in Oxfordshire and after completing her Drama and Theatre Studies Degree in London, trained at The Oxford School of Drama.
Amy also spent time studying Classical Singing at The Liszt Academy in Budapest. While there she was represented by a Hungarian acting agent and filmed Dinotopia for Hallmark. In the hills of Buda Amy also worked with the renowned composer Peter Eotvos on one of his albums, voicing a ’squeaky cat’!
The independent film, Safe Zone, was short-listed to the final 20 films for the TCM Classic Short Award as part of the BFI London Film Festival 2008, nominated for the UK Film Council Award for Best Film at the 5th London Short Film Festival and selected for Shorts R Us special screening in the Palais at the 61st Cannes Film Festival 2008.
Amy has recently finished playing Stella in a new play The Upstairs Room at The Burton Taylor Studio Theatre. She is excited to be playing Adela in Lorca’s The House of Bernarda Alba this autumn for Red Dog Theatre. Please visit www.reddog.org.uk for tour details.
